Position Overview

Michael Oak Waldorf School is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Craft and Art Support Teacher to support the Art Department for learners from Grade 8 to matric. The role aligns with CAPS curriculum requirements while embracing the experiential Waldorf pedagogy.


Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience teaching art and at least one of the following: sewing, textile work, basketry, hand weaving on a loom, bookbinding, leatherwork, or other crafting skills

  • Relevant academic and professional teaching qualifications

  • Current SACE registration is mandatory

  • Interest in Waldorf pedagogy and commitment to integrating its principles

  • Caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated to students’ growth

  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, learners, and parents

  • Willingness to actively contribute to the collective running of the high school
