Position Overview
United Herzlia Schools, a leading independent Jewish Day School in Cape Town, is seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate Hebrew educator to lead the Hebrew department. This is a full-time, permanent position starting 01 January 2026.
Key Responsibilities

Teach Hebrew to learners, preferably at Primary level

Lead and manage the Hebrew department effectively

Incorporate technology into teaching practice

Deliver differentiated instruction to support all learners, including those on educational support programmes

Participate in the school’s extra-mural and enrichment programs

Inspire and nurture students’ holistic development
Requirements
-
Qualified teacher with SACE registration
-
Proficiency in Hebrew, both written and spoken
-
Experience teaching Hebrew

Familiarity with Ulpan Or programme (advantageous)

Strong organisational, managerial, and administrative skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively and adapt teaching for diverse learners
