Position Overview
Pinnacle College Kyalami is seeking a qualified and passionate History Teacher to teach Grades 8–12. The ideal candidate will foster academic excellence, inspire learners, and contribute positively to the school community.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver future-focused, inspiring, and challenging History lessons

Plan and implement engaging instructional programs

Conduct assessment and academic reporting in line with IEB standards
-
Manage student behaviour and promote positive discipline

Act as a school brand ambassador in all engagements

Maintain administrative accuracy and uphold safety protocols
-
Engage professionally with colleagues, students, and parents
-
Foster a learning environment of respect, collaboration, and growth
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
-
A degree (NQF Level 7) and PGCE or B.Ed (FET) with specialisation in History
-
SACE certification and Police Clearance (mandatory)

2–5 years’ experience teaching History in a high school environment

Proficient in computer and digital literacy
-
First Aid certification is an advantage
