Job Summary
Absa Bank’s graduate program offers exposure to digital product development and analytics within a dynamic team. The role will assist the Product Manager and digital teams by supporting research, data analysis, and product lifecycle activities. This role is designed to build foundational skills in digital strategy, customer experience, and product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Learning & Support

Participate in training sessions and rotate through different areas of product development.

Shadow experienced Product Managers to understand the digital product lifecycle.

Assist in maintaining documentation and knowledge repositories.

Stay updated on digital trends and tools through continuous learning.
Research & Analysis
-
Support in gathering data and conducting basic analysis on market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to help inform product decisions.

Prepare insights and reports to guide product strategy.
Product Development Assistance
-
Assist in gathering product requirements and documenting user needs.
-
Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.

Support testing and quality assurance activities under supervision.

Help with backlog organization and prioritization to ensure clear and structured tasks.

Maintain up-to-date product documentation.
Customer Engagement
-
Help collect and organize customer feedback.

Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving user experience.
Operational Tasks
-
Support reporting and analytics tasks, preparing data sets and visualizations.

Assist with identifying opportunities for improvement across digital products.

Help ensure backlog items meet Definition of Ready and Definition of Done before sprint/PI activities. Log any issues and escalations to the Product Manager.
Preferred Education

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree, Diploma, or Technical Vocational Certificate (NQF Level 7 or above) in:
