About the Role

St Stithians College is seeking a qualified and passionate Academic Support Teacher to join their Junior Preparatory School from 1 January 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students with diverse learning needs and contributing to an inclusive and progressive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support for students who learn differently, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and resources.

  • Embrace and promote inclusive education, helping to create an environment where all students feel supported.

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to create tailored learning strategies for individual students.

  • Be involved in ongoing research and professional development to stay updated on best practices in inclusive education.

  • Integrate IT into teaching and learning, fostering an engaging and dynamic classroom environment.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the College’s ethos and co-curricular activities.

  • Promote diversity and transformation in all aspects of school life.


Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Inclusive Education and Foundation Phase Teaching.

  • A deep passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.

  • Ability to be flexible, innovative, and open to change in a dynamic educational setting.

  • Strong computer literacy and experience using technology to enhance teaching and learning.

  • A collaborative approach to work within a multi-disciplinary team.

  • SACE registration and a sexual offender’s clearance certificate.

  • Commitment to the ethos, transformation, and values of the College.
