The IT Manager – KwaZulu Natal will oversee the day-to-day IT support service for Inspired Schools in the province, specifically Reddam House Umhlanga and Reddam House Ballito, and manage a team of IT Support Engineers.
Role Summary

Manage IT operations for two schools, including supervision of 2 direct reports

Diagnose and resolve 3rd-level support issues, escalating when necessary

Oversee IT infrastructure, networking, backups, patching, and cybersecurity

Manage IT OPEX and CAPEX budgets for the schools

Handle change management, quality assurance, and training initiatives

Collaborate closely with the Regional IT Manager to improve IT services

Travel between schools/sites on a weekly basis
Key Responsibilities

Lead IT Support Engineers and manage their induction, performance, and conduct

Ensure service levels are met and tickets are efficiently resolved

Liaise with vendors and external partners for escalations and solutions

Write and review internal technical documentation

Support executive leadership with technical solutions in a dynamic environment
Requirements
Hard Skills:
-
Degree-level education
-
4+ years’ experience as IT Manager in a similar environment

ITIL experience
-
Strong LAN/WAN networking and IT network operations expertise

Deep knowledge of hardware/software troubleshooting and systems repair
-
Experience with Windows 10/11, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, iOS, Android, networking, and productivity software
