Key Responsibilities
-
Supervision & Leadership: Guide and support the maintenance team, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed.
-
Task Management: Assign, prioritise, and monitor maintenance tasks for timely completion.
-
Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Oversee repairs and upkeep of equipment, buildings, and facilities.
-
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all activities align with safety regulations and procedures.
-
Inventory Management: Maintain stock of parts and supplies, ensuring timely reordering.
-
Budget Management: Track and manage expenses within the maintenance budget.
-
Record Keeping: Keep accurate logs of maintenance, repairs, and equipment performance.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues.
-
Out-of-Hours Support: Be available for premises-related call-outs with the Procurement and Operations Manager.

Strong technical expertise in building systems, electrical, and plumbing.

Minimum Requirements

NSC (National Senior Certificate).

Relevant qualification in facility maintenance or a trade related to building maintenance.

Project Management Certification (advantageous).

Minimum 5 years’ experience in building maintenance, electrical, and plumbing.

Proven supervisory, planning, and budgeting experience.
