Job Description

The King’s College & Preparatory School is seeking to appoint an experienced First Additional Language (FAL) Afrikaans teacher for the Intermediate Phase. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, passionate educator with a track record of engaging and inspiring learners in a progressive, values-based environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A recognised teaching qualification

  • SACE registration (compulsory)

  • Proven experience teaching FAL Afrikaans (ISASA school and IEB curriculum experience advantageous)

  • A strong foundation in core teaching skills

  • Aptitude for innovative teaching methodologies

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

  • A patient and cooperative mindset

  • Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities

  • Willingness to handle assessment, exam setting, marking, and moderation

  • Alignment with the Christian values of the school
