Applications from qualified individuals are invited for this Music Teacher, full-time, permanent role to commence at the start of Term 1 in 2026.
Selection Criteria Include:

Relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE in addition to BMus from a recognised institution with teaching and learning experience within an IEB school.

Preference will be given to SACE registered candidates.

The applicant should ideally be a first instrument pianist with the ability to play and teach a second instrument.
The Successful Individual Will Be Required To:

Teach subject music to GET phase; collaborate with other academic departments to facilitate project-based learning projects for Grade 9 pupils.

Teach music theory up to a Grade 4 level and prepare pupils for external music theory exams.

Teach aural, improvisation and music theory to Grade 10 pupils.

Play piano and/or organ or another instrument for assembly, hymn practice and weekly Mass services – both for high school and primary school.

Teach piano up to an advanced level.

Be responsible for the administration of extra-mural activities such as choirs, bands, and musicals.

Coach the rock band.

Prepare pupils for concerts, productions and services.

Assist with setup and logistics around concerts, events and festivals.

Display strong administration skills to support the HOD with regards to all Music Institute related administration.

Join pupils on camps, tours and outings.

Motivate and create a passion for the subject amongst the pupils and staff.

Provide a proven record of innovation, commitment, and professionalism towards education.

Support the Catholic ethos and values of Brescia House School.

Demonstrate the ability to manage diverse relationships and interact with a variety of different stakeholders including parents.
