Job Description

As a Senior Financial Accountant in the FCA South EMEA team, you will support the Chief Accountant in preparing and reporting month-end results in accordance with IFRS and local financial regulations. You’ll ensure compliance with all financial policies while contributing to process improvements across accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities

Act as relationship manager for Volvo Trucks (New Trucks, Used Trucks, and Market Africa).

Ensure timely and accurate accounting for assigned financial line items.

Maintain compliance with IFRS and internal Volvo Financial Policies and Procedures (FPP).

Uphold internal financial controls and frameworks.
-
Support monthly closing processes and respond to accounting inquiries.

Train and manage offshore accounting services teams.
-
Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet and key income statement accounts.

Report month-end results in the group reporting system with full accuracy and compliance.

Provide financial analysis for planning, forecasting, and reporting.

Approve and validate journal entries processed by the business.

Engage with business units to stay updated on developments and resolve concerns.

Identify and recommend areas for efficiency improvement within FCA.

Perform other duties as required by management.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA(SA).
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience in:

Financial accounting and reporting
-
Consolidation
-
Financial planning
-
Business analysis
-
Tax
-

Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.

Experience working in international and cross-functional teams.
