Role Overview

The Head of Junior Preparatory Sport will inspire young children to discover the joy of movement, teamwork, and sport in a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will lead, manage, and coordinate all sporting activities in the Junior Preparatory phase, while fostering a love for physical activity and holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Physical Education and Sport lessons according to the timetable.
Lead Junior Preparatory Sport programmes, including coaching and officiating on weekdays and weekends.
Oversee:
- Sporting and PE budgets
- Recruitment, supervision, and development of coaches
- Coaching of relevant sporting codes
- Organisation of tournaments, clinics, and InterHouse activities
- Procurement and maintenance of equipment and facilities

Candidate Attributes

Passion for education and sport
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong problem-solving, initiative, and organisational ability
Self-motivated and physically active

Minimum Requirements

Relevant education qualification with SACE registration
Qualified to teach Physical Education
Proven track record in administration
Strong computer skills
Ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents
