Fedics is seeking a highly experienced Catering Manager to oversee the daily operations of a key account in the Northwest region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing client relations, and meeting site-specific targets within the budget. The role also involves maintaining the highest operational standards, building strong relationships with clients, and managing all administrative and financial aspects of the unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Full responsibility for the unit’s day-to-day management, ensuring adherence to service delivery standards.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, train, and develop a team of staff to meet Fedics standards.

  • Quality Control: Ensure food quality, presentation, and service meet Fedics standards, maintaining consistent excellence in service.

  • Budget Management: Implement and manage operational controls to ensure costs remain within budgetary requirements and drive growth.

  • HR and IR Issues: Manage daily HR and Industrial Relations (IR) issues, including staff training, development, and performance management.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, anticipating needs and addressing potential complaints.

  • Admin & Finance Management: Oversee administrative tasks, including compiling weekly and monthly profit and loss (P&L) reports, managing finances, budgets, and debtors.

  • Trend Awareness: Stay updated on the latest food trends and best practices to keep the service offering competitive.

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in relevant computer programs and systems (e.g., accounting, catering software).


Qualifications:

  • Matric (Grade 12) with Culinary Tertiary qualifications.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar management role, preferably within the catering or hospitality industry.

  • Familiarity with accounting systems and the ability to manage budgets and financial reports.

  • Previous experience in a management position with responsibility for HR, finances, and client relations will be highly advantageous.
