Job Overview:
The school seeks a dynamic, visionary, and dedicated Natural Sciences and Technology Teacher to teach Grades 6 & 7. The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills, contributing meaningfully to both academic and co-curricular life at APPS.
Minimum Requirements:

A relevant university degree or professional teaching qualification

Minimum 5 years of experience teaching Natural Sciences

Excellent communication skills and strong computer literacy

SACE Registration Certificate (required)

Sexual Offenders Act Clearance Certificate (required)

Self-motivated, organised, and collaborative approach

Understanding of and alignment with the Christian ethos and values of APPS

Experience in Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) and STEAM education will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Natural Sciences and Technology to Grades 6 & 7 in an engaging and supportive way

Mentor and guide the teaching of Natural Sciences across the school

Help grow and develop the STEAM curriculum and contribute to collaborative initiatives

Participate fully in the school’s extramural programme

Contribute to weekly staff meetings, professional development, and school events

Attend parent-teacher meetings, assemblies, and celebrations
-
Support and uphold the values, ethos, and professional standards of the school
