Role Overview
CBC Mount Edmund Prep is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Aftercare Manager to oversee the after-school programme. The role focuses on providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for pupils while supporting the school’s Catholic ethos.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily running of the aftercare programme.

Ensure a structured routine balancing play, homework supervision, and recreational activities.

Maintain a safe, caring, and supportive environment aligned with school values.

Promote and enhance the Catholic ethos of the school.

Manage aftercare staff, schedules, and resources effectively.

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
-
Ensure adherence to school policies, procedures, and child safeguarding standards.

Demonstrate superior planning, organisational, and reporting skills.
Requirements

Relevant qualification: Degree in Education (ECD/FP or IP) – essential

Previous experience managing aftercare or children’s programmes – advantageous

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Caring but firm approach with children

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team

Strong Christian background
