About the Role
Nova Pioneer is hiring a Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Biology Teacher to join the Ormonde Secondary School from January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dynamic educator to deliver real-world, enquiry-based science instruction and help shape the next generation of African leaders.
Key Responsibilities

Teach Biology to Grades 10–12 in line with the Cambridge IGCSE, AS, and A-level curriculum

Create and deliver rigorous, enquiry-based lessons
-
Prepare students thoroughly for exams
-
Use technology effectively to enhance instructional delivery
-
Set high academic expectations and provide regular, constructive feedback
-
Collaborate with Deans and Learning Designers in weekly feedback and professional development
-
Track student progress using assessments and adapt teaching accordingly
-
Mentor and support new or apprentice teachers
-
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
-
Participate in school events, co-curricular activities, and supervision duties
Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Biology as a major

PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education)
-
SACE registered
-
Biology teaching experience at Grade 10–12 level
-
Strong knowledge of Cambridge curriculum objectives
-
Experience with or passion for enquiry-based learning

Ability to work independently and in collaborative teams

Strong communication and organisational skills
