📘 Role Overview
Nova Pioneer Northriding seeks a passionate and dynamic Afrikaans teacher to deliver engaging lessons using enquiry-based methods across various primary school grades. This teacher will drive language proficiency, contribute to school culture, and model lifelong learning.
🔑 Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, inquiry-based Afrikaans lessons.

Plan collaboratively with learning designers.

Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

Set high expectations and provide regular, meaningful feedback.

Mentor apprentice teachers and collaborate with peers.

Communicate with parents and participate in parent-teacher conferences.

Take part in at least one co-curricular activity each term.

Attend professional development sessions and team reflections.

Fulfil supervision and event duties as required.
✅ Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant + PGCE.

SACE registered.
-
Fluency in Afrikaans and English (spoken, written, and reading).

Experience teaching Afrikaans as a first or second language.

Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.

Familiarity with enquiry-based or student-centered learning.

Digital literacy and confidence using tech in the classroom.
