Key Duties and Responsibilities
Academic Delivery

Deliver future-focused, inspiring, and engaging education to young children.

Develop and implement age-appropriate lessons that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development.

Foster individual talent and curiosity through a flexible and inclusive approach.
Academic Assessment & Reporting

Continuously monitor and assess learner progress.

Provide detailed and constructive feedback to parents and guardians.
Student Behaviour Management

Establish a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment.

Support social and emotional development in line with best practice.
School Brand Ambassadorship

Maintain strong, professional relationships with colleagues and parents.

Represent the school at events and contribute to its public profile.
Administration

Ensure classrooms are dynamic, organized, and aligned with educational goals.

Perform duties related to planning, reporting, and daily operations.
Health & Safety

Observe safety protocols and provide first aid as needed.

Maintain a clean and hazard-free environment for students.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
-
Undergraduate degree (NQF Level 6) in ECD or B.Ed (Foundation Phase).
-
A PGCE is required if the degree is in a related field (e.g., Psychology).

SACE certification and Police Clearance are mandatory.
-
2–5 years teaching experience in a pre-primary or foundation phase setting.

First Aid certification.

Strong computer and digital literacy.
