About the Internship:
TUT is inviting South African unemployed graduates who are currently registered MA Counselling Psychology students to apply. There are 4 internship vacancies. Interns will provide student counselling services, support psycho-educational initiatives, and gain supervised practical experience in line with HPCSA requirements. Shortlisted candidates may be required to present and/or undergo competency testing.
Minimum Requirements:

Currently registered as an MA Counselling Psychology student at a recognised university

South African citizen

Time and stress management skills; ability to prioritise and work independently

Effective presentation, lecturing, and facilitation skills

Key Responsibilities:

Provide professional counselling services to TUT students

Support students’ academic and personal development
-
Participate in psycho-educational programmes, presentations, and training
-
Offer individual and group counselling to children at a local children’s home

Meet administrative requirements within SDS
-
Contribute to effective team functioning
