Job Summary

Greenway Farms seeks a professional and safety-conscious Truck Driver to join its Talent Pipeline. The driver will ensure the safe, efficient loading, transportation, and offloading of goods, strictly following safety regulations and operational schedules. This role demands a high level of professionalism, vehicle care, and excellent customer service.


Minimum Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Code 14 Driver’s License

  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a professional truck driver

  • Experience with loading, securing, and offloading cargo

  • Familiarity with road safety regulations and vehicle compliance

  • Basic mechanical understanding for routine checks and minor maintenance

  • GPS navigation proficiency

  • Understanding of fatigue management and driver wellness

  • Background in logistics or fleet management is advantageous

  • Detail-oriented with accurate trip logging and reporting

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Physically fit for manual handling of cargo

  • Time management and ability to perform under pressure

  • Committed to safety protocols and PPE use


Key Responsibilities

1. Load Management

  • Ensure vehicle load complies with legal weight and safety standards

  • Conduct pre-load inspections and secure cargo appropriately

  • Perform walk-around safety checks before departure

2. Route Adherence

  • Follow approved and assigned routes

  • Record and report route changes, delays, or incidents

  • Abide by all traffic and road safety laws

3. Trip Management

  • Monitor fuel usage and fill-ups

  • Stick to scheduled delivery stops and minimize unscheduled delays

  • Report incidents, accidents, or violations promptly

  • Maintain detailed trip logs and job cards

4. Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections

  • Carry out daily, weekly, and ad-hoc checks

  • Inspect tyres, brakes, lights, and suspension regularly

  • Keep the vehicle clean and report any mechanical issues

5. Safety & Compliance

  • Wear required PPE at all times

  • Comply with SHEQ and safety standards

  • Monitor fatigue levels and report health concerns

  • Follow chronic condition management protocols
