Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Heavy Vehicle Driver (Rigid) responsible for operating a vehicle not exceeding 16,000 kg to transport goods, products, or materials safely and efficiently to and from specified destinations. This position requires strict compliance with safety, vehicle inspection, and operational procedures.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric

Valid Code 10 Driver’s License

Valid PrDP (with PrDP “D” for Dangerous Goods if required)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar driving role

Own reliable transport to and from work

Medically fit

Clear criminal record
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare vehicle prior to departure
-
Load and offload goods according to schedule
-
Operate a heavy-duty vehicle (rigid or articulated) safely

Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

Handle and return documentation between dispatch, customer, and depot

Account for all items being transported

Ensure vehicle roadworthiness before leaving the depot

Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Follow all reasonable instructions from supervisors

Maintain a safe driving record and clean criminal background
