The Emeris Sandton Campus invites applications for the position of IT Intern (Fixed-Term Contract).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Lecture Room Support
-
Provide first-line support for computer and lecture venues.

Ensure all venues, copiers, projectors, and wireless infrastructure are operational and neat.

Perform daily checks on IT equipment and classroom technology.
Hardware Support
-
Assist users with desktop, laptop, printer, and photocopier issues.

Install and set up IT hardware and peripheral devices.
-
Support classroom projector setup.
Software Support
-
Install, update, and troubleshoot software (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Manage software licensing and assist users with software-related queries.
Administration and Documentation
-
Log all IT-related queries with the Service Desk.

Maintain the hardware/software asset register, including disposals and transfers.
-
Prepare and analyse photocopier and telephone usage reports.
General & Development
-
Maintain neatness of the server room and ICT offices.

Manage ICT equipment sign-out and sign-in processes.
-
Shadow senior ICT staff for mentorship and skills development.

Troubleshoot server-related issues under supervision.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Higher Certificate / Occupational Certificate Level 5 (NQF Level 5)

OR A+ / N+ Certification
Minimum Work Experience

No prior experience required – ideal for recent IT graduates.

🕗 Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
