Key Responsibilities:

  • General Administration: Perform a variety of administrative duties, including organizing data, document processing, and maintaining records and files.

  • Creditors/Debtors Management: Handle creditors and debtors functions, ensuring proper coding and processing of documents.

  • Bookkeeping Support: Assist in reconciliations, petty cash management, purchase orders, journals, and basic HR/payroll tasks.

  • Filing & Record Keeping: Maintain an organized filing system for efficient access to documents and records.

  • Customer Queries: Assist with customer queries and provide necessary support for resolving issues.

  • Deadline Management: Meet deadlines for administrative tasks, including coordinating activities related to creditors functions, and working under pressure.

  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a cooperative working environment.

  • Special Projects: Support special projects as required by management or the department.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Grade 12 with a basic bookkeeping/accounting tertiary qualification (preferably an advanced certificate).

  • Experience:

    • 2–3 years of experience in creditors/debtors functions.

    • Exposure to financial systems, with SAGE being preferred.

    • Experience with reconciliations and general administration tasks.

  • Skills:

    • Computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

    • Ability to work without supervision and manage deadlines efficiently.

    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail.

    • Good numeric skills and strong communication abilities.

  • Other Requirements:

    • Willing to work overtime if needed.

    • Ability to take responsibility and work independently.

    • Previous experience in HR or payroll tasks is beneficial.
