🔍 Role Overview:
St Cyprian’s School is seeking a passionate, skilled chess coach to guide and mentor players from both the Preparatory and High School. This coach will play a pivotal role in growing chess as both a competitive and inclusive activity within the school.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:

Coach and mentor chess teams across age groups and skill levels

Prepare learners for both internal and external matches/tournaments

Lead weekly practices and coordinate match fixtures

Promote chess school-wide, encouraging participation at all levels

Work closely with the Sports Department to promote excellence and sportsmanship

Handle scheduling, communication, and reporting effectively and professionally
✅ Minimum Requirements:
-
3+ years experience coaching chess (Prep or High School level)

Ability to coach from beginner to national level
-
SACE registered (or eligible for registration)

Strong administrative and digital skills

Excellent organisation, communication, and time management
