About the Role
St Stithians College is seeking a qualified and passionate Academic Support Teacher to join their Junior Preparatory School from 1 January 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students with diverse learning needs and contributing to an inclusive and progressive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide academic support for students who learn differently, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and resources.

Embrace and promote inclusive education, helping to create an environment where all students feel supported.

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to create tailored learning strategies for individual students.

Be involved in ongoing research and professional development to stay updated on best practices in inclusive education.

Integrate IT into teaching and learning, fostering an engaging and dynamic classroom environment.

Requirements:

Qualifications in Inclusive Education and Foundation Phase Teaching.

A deep passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Ability to be flexible, innovative, and open to change in a dynamic educational setting.

Strong computer literacy and experience using technology to enhance teaching and learning.

A collaborative approach to work within a multi-disciplinary team.

SACE registration and a sexual offender’s clearance certificate.
