1. Key Purpose Statement
To deliver high-quality teaching in Accounting, Business Studies, and EMS from Grades 8 to 12, fostering student engagement and academic excellence. The role includes creating an inclusive, future-focused learning environment, developing student agency, and contributing to the holistic development of learners. The successful candidate will also be expected to demonstrate professionalism, collaborate with the school community, and continuously develop their teaching practice.
Principal Accountabilities
Academic Delivery (40%)

Integrate future-focused education into lesson planning and delivery

Prepare and teach engaging, differentiated lessons

Effectively use technology and teaching aids

Provide individual and group academic support

Academic Assessment & Reporting (20%)

Conduct formative and summative assessments

Maintain up-to-date academic records

Use assessment data to inform instruction

Participate in IEB moderation and team marking

Provide detailed feedback to stakeholders
Student Behaviour Management (15%)

Establish and maintain classroom expectations

Promote student well-being through mentorship

Provide support and guidance to students and parents

Identify and report barriers to learning

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) and PGCE/HDE or B.Ed (FET/GET)

Subject specialisation in Accounting, Business Studies, or EMS

Valid SACE registration

Police Clearance
Experience
Minimum:
-
3–5 years of teaching experience
-
3–5 years subject specialisation in Accounting, Business Studies, or EMS
Preferred:
-
Experience with IB curriculum and inquiry-based learning
-
IEB teaching and matric marking
-
First Aid certification
