About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ Adherence Centre in Midrand is seeking a qualified Adherence Consultant to join the team. This role focuses on providing patient-ready parcel services by calling patients monthly, processing their medication orders, and ensuring compliance with operational guidelines and regulatory requirements of the South African Pharmacy Council.
Key Responsibilities

Manage Adherence Centre telephone operations according to procedures.

Interpret patient medication history and confirm orders accurately.

Process medication orders and update patient profiles.

Submit claims accurately and advise patients on rejections or out-of-pocket expenses.

Stay updated on medical aid procedures and claim requirements.

Maintain and update patient profiles, including special requirements.

Assist patients with medical aid authorizations and chronic medication approvals.

Report discrepancies and maintain all Adherence Centre administration for reporting and auditing.

Use proper telephone etiquette and provide excellent customer service.

Collaborate with the dispensary to correct script errors and ensure authorization.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
-
Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate.

Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic Qualification (PBQ).

Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council.

Minimum 5 years relevant experience, including Unisolv.

Computer literate (MS Office).
Advantageous:

Customer care experience.

Knowledge of a third language.
