About the FAIS Ombud:
The Office of the Ombud for Financial Services Providers (FAIS Ombud) was established under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 37 of 2002 (FAIS Act). Its objective is to resolve complaints in a procedurally fair, informal, economical, and timely manner, ensuring equity in all circumstances.
Job Description:
The FAIS Ombud is offering a Graduate Recruitment Programme aimed at producing a pipeline of skilled professionals in the legal and financial services sectors. Selected graduates will be exposed to practical work experience under the mentorship of experienced professionals in the Case Management/Adjudication Department.
The programme is designed to provide trainees with competency-based training and hands-on exposure to handling complaints against financial service providers. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in dispute resolution, case management, and financial services.

Job Requirements:

South African citizen with a valid South African Identity Document.

LLB degree.
-
PLT (Practical Legal Training) will be an advantage.

A passion for public service and an interest in working in the financial sector.

Strong academic background.

Ability to work in a stressful environment, willing to learn, and work extra hours.

Energetic, self-driven, and deadline-focused.

Must be computer literate.
