Knowledge of digital recording processes, CRT system tests, and equipment functionality.

Knowledge of court proceedings, digital and manual filing systems.

Technical skills, computer literacy (MS Office), typing, problem-solving, administration skills.

Communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork, flexibility, ability to work independently and under pressure, attention to detail, confidentiality.

Shortlisted candidates will undergo a pre-entry practical exercise to assess technical suitability.

DUTIES:
-
Pre-recording support: Check court readiness, test CRT machine, capture cases on CRT machine and court book/J406, preschedule cases.
-
Court recording: Record proceedings, add party details and annotations, pause/resume/stop recordings, set up equipment for Children’s court, annotate postponed cases, conduct backups, monitor accuracy using headphones.

Playback & verification: Respond to playback requests, retrieve/download recordings, detect discrepancies, notify Judge of issues.

General administrative functions: File and check audio CDs, update backups, submit work performed at circuit court, download CDs for transcription, attend to court recording queries, arrange travel to circuit courts.
