REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent

  • No prior experience required

  • Training in asset management, codification, and procurement is an added advantage

  • Skills needed:

    • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)

    • Good telephone etiquette

    • Typing skills and good communication skills

    • Knowledge of all MS Office packages

    • Analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

    • High level of reliability and initiative

DUTIES:

  • Provide clerical and administrative support in managing, controlling, and safeguarding logistical documentation to meet security, confidentiality, and audit requirements

  • Participate in document identification, revision level control, and maintain records in the Logistics database

  • Administer document release processes and oversee the secure destruction of redundant classified documentation

  • Assist with physical audits of records and distribution registers to ensure accountability

  • Control access and distribution of classified hard copies and magnetic media

  • Ensure safe return of documents after project completion and maintain proper filing and tracking systems

  • Monitor and record all document movements, supporting efficient document control systems

  • Promote operational effectiveness by ensuring integrity and proper management of logistical records

  • Perform multiple clerical tasks in the logistics environment with strong attention to detail
