Requirements
Educational Qualification:
-
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics or Accountancy as a passed subject

Relevant experience/competencies aligned with the Key Performance Areas (KPAs) of the post
Experience:
-
Experience in Supply Chain Management and Public Sector Procurement
-
Knowledge of Electronic Procurement System (EPS), Essential Supplier List (ESL), and LOGIS
-
Experience working on BAS, LOGIS, and EPS
Inherent Requirements:

Willingness to work after hours when needed
-
Valid driver’s licence
Competencies (Knowledge / Skills):
-
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Sound communication, organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of Procurement Management environment and government financial systems

Understanding of PFMA, National Treasury Regulations, provincial instructions, departmental policies, delegations, and procedures

Ability to work with financial figures and strong organizational, managerial, and leadership skills
Duties
-
Demand and acquisition management of goods and services for the Klipfontein & Mitchell’s Plain Substructure area
-
Assist with compiling specifications for goods and services
-
Attend briefing/site meetings as required
-
Source quotations via EPS and prepare quotation batches for the Quotation Committee
-
Process, expedite, and follow up on purchase orders
-
Communicate and provide feedback to suppliers and end-users
-
Report on procurement-related transactions weekly/monthly
-
Assist in preparing interim and annual financial statement reconciliations regarding assets
-
Adhere to all prescripts and departmental procedures
