This is a full-time position and the successful candidate will report to the Academic Headmistress.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Being an enthusiastic and creative teacher able to create engaging lessons to stretch pupils’ abilities.

Having good IT skills and being comfortable using technology.

Having a thorough knowledge of IEB assessments.

Identifying with the core values of the school.

Demonstrating an ongoing commitment to professional growth.

Being involved in clubs and societies.
-
Being part of pastoral care structures, including being assigned a tutor group where the focus is on wellness and leadership.

Being involved with sports activities.
Requirements
The minimum requirements for the post are:

Bachelor’s Degree in Afrikaans (or similar).

A professional post-graduate teaching qualification.
-
Proof of SACE registration.
-
Police clearance.
-
A minimum of three years’ teaching experience in Afrikaans and Life Orientation in the Senior and FET phase, preferably at an IEB school.

A passion for sharing the language with students.
