Job Description

Thomas More College is seeking an Alumni & Foundation Co-ordinator to strengthen connections and celebrate our heritage. The role will support the Past Pupils’ Association and College Foundation, helping to build lasting relationships across generations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and support alumni (past pupils’) events and reunions, including regional gatherings

  • Build and maintain relationships with past pupils, key stakeholders, and potential partners

  • Support heritage and storytelling efforts through archives, memorabilia collection, and alumni profiles

  • Manage communications across various platforms: newsletters, emails, WhatsApp groups, and social media

  • Maintain and update alumni and stakeholder databases (Alumnet & DevMan), ensuring accuracy and segmentation

  • Assist with administrative tasks for committee meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting logistics, and minute-taking

  • Support Foundation event planning, donor stewardship, and impact storytelling

  • Generate reports, assist with budget tracking, and liaise with suppliers and service providers

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and communication support to the Foundation Director

  • Co-host campus visits by alumni and assist at key school events (e.g., Golf Day, Long Walk, Country Fair, Giving Day, etc.)

  • Foster alumni engagement by coordinating reunions, managing WhatsApp groups, sharing alumni success stories, and supporting donor relations


Skills & Experience Required

  • Matric (National Senior Certificate) or equivalent

  • Strong administrative and communication skills

  • Exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect people and manage details meticulously

  • Ability to craft engaging stories that celebrate alumni and community achievements

  • Familiarity with Alumnet, DevMan, Canva, Microsoft Office, AI tools, and social media platforms

  • Excellent attention to detail and a flair for meaningful engagement

  • Adherence to the Christian Ethos of the School and school code of conduct
