Position Overview
Core Education is seeking a qualified Discipline Manager to join our team at ACUDEO College Thornview Secondary in Soshanguve, Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing learner behaviour, enforcing school policies, and promoting positive conduct to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain a safe, positive, and conducive learning environment.

Manage learner behaviour, enforce school policies, and promote discipline.

Mediate disputes and resolve conflicts between learners, staff, and parents.

Lead by example to foster respect, accountability, and discipline.

Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to promote positive learner behaviour.

Handle administrative tasks related to learner discipline and interventions.

Respond effectively to emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of learners and staff.
Required Knowledge and Skills

In-depth knowledge of the South African Schools Act (SASA), Child Protection Legislation, and relevant school policies.

Ability to resolve conflicts and de-escalate tense situations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Strong decision-making and organisational skills.

Empathy and emotional intelligence.

Knowledge of discipline and behaviour management strategies, particularly in multi-cultural and socio-economically diverse environments.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
