Programme Description
FlySafair is seeking passionate and committed individuals for its Mechanical/Avionics Apprenticeship Programme. Successful candidates will receive mentorship and on-the-job training under the supervision of experienced Aircraft Technicians.
This is a hands-on technical role offering exposure to various aircraft models and systems, including heavy and short-visit maintenance, as well as flight line operations.
Key Responsibilities

Work under the supervision of Mechanical/Avionics Technicians on various aircraft

Assist in diagnosing and adjusting electrical systems and assemblies

Learn the use of tools, test equipment, and aircraft service units
-
Support fueling, de-fueling, taxi ramp and hangar operations
-
Participate in documentation and reporting tasks
-
Receive training on operating ground power units and support equipment
-
Maintain work areas and follow strict safety and PPE protocols
-
Monitor service vehicles and ensure proper upkeep
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)

Completed theoretical Aviation Training in Mechanical or Avionics (Essential)

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
