Minimum Requirements

Qualified Auto Electrician

3+ years of relevant experience

Experience with Volvo vehicles an advantage

Prepared to work shifts and call-outs

Computer literate
-
Own transport required

EC Driver’s License an advantage

Ability to work under pressure without supervision

Hands-on and practical approach

Willing to undergo training related to the role

Clean criminal record

Medically fit
Key Responsibilities
-
Diagnose and repair electrical issues in vehicles using a variety of tools
-
Install electrical systems using power tools such as electronic screwdrivers and drills
-
Test vehicle electrical systems (headlights, GPS, sound systems, etc.) using voltage and current meters
-
Strip and replace electronic wiring as required
-
Perform technical repair and maintenance on buses and automobiles
-
Troubleshoot, order parts, and repair complex mechanical problems
-
Lead and train less-experienced mechanics when required
-
Follow all organizational, environmental, and safety regulations
-
Serve as a resource for technical problems within the workshop
