Programme Details:
The eThekwini Municipality is offering training opportunities through its Artisan Development Programme for unemployed youth interested in pursuing a career as a Boilermaker or Welder. Successful candidates will complete a structured apprenticeship (maximum of three years) combining on-site practical training and theoretical instruction at an accredited training institution, culminating in a formal trade test.

Eligibility Requirements:

Minimum N2 certificate including the relevant trade theory subject; or

Technical/Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science/Engineering Science and related trade theory subject; or
-
Relevant N6 certificate or National Technical Diploma (S or N stream)

Must be an eThekwini resident (proof required)

Must be a South African citizen with valid ID

Must be unemployed

Must be between 18 – 35 years old

Must show passion and interest in the chosen trade

Must not have participated in a similar apprenticeship programme before
