Programme Details:
The eThekwini Municipality invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated unemployed youth to take part in the Artisan Development Programme in the trade of Diesel Mechanic.
The programme runs for up to three years, combining on-site practical training and theoretical studies at an accredited training institution. Upon completion, apprentices will undergo a formal trade test to qualify as Artisans in their respective fields.

Eligibility Requirements:

Minimum N2 certificate including the relevant trade theory subject; or

Technical/Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science/Engineering Science and related trade theory subject; or
-
Relevant N6 certificate or National Technical Diploma (S or N stream)

Must be an eThekwini resident (proof required)

Must be a South African citizen with valid ID

Must be unemployed

Must be between 18 – 35 years old

Must show passion and interest in the trade applied for

Must not have participated in a similar apprenticeship before
