Programme Details:
The eThekwini Municipality is offering training opportunities to unemployed youth with a passion for the trades of Millwright and Carpentry through its Artisan Development Programme.
The apprenticeship will run for a period of up to three years and includes practical on-site training as well as theoretical studies at an accredited training institution. Upon successful completion, participants will undergo a formal trade test to qualify as an Artisan in the relevant trade.

Eligibility Requirements:

Minimum N2 certificate including the relevant trade theory subject; or

Technical/Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science/Engineering Science and related trade theory subject; or
-
Relevant N6 certificate or National Technical Diploma (S or N stream)

Must be an eThekwini resident (proof required)

Must be a South African citizen with valid ID

Must be unemployed

Must be between 18 – 35 years old

Must show passion and interest in the fields applied for

Must not have participated in a similar apprenticeship programme before
