Matric with Mathematics and Science

N3 and a Trade Test certificate in instrumentation

Completed formal institutionalized training program

National Diploma (N6/S4) with relevant work experience

Ability to read and interpret PLC logic programs for fault finding and control optimization

Ability to use historical data for root cause analysis and optimize plant processes

Sugar and Milling experience is an advantage

Proficient in Word and Excel

South African citizen
🛠️ Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Calibration:
-
Perform planned and autonomous maintenance to optimize plant availability
-
Calibrate, repair, and maintain control gear/instrumentation and associated equipment to ensure proper operation
-
Perform installations, testing, repairs, and modifications to instrumentation and electronic equipment
-
Maintain and improve PLC, HMI, SCADA systems and instrumentation networks
-
Ensure availability of critical spares
Documentation & Safety:
-
Ensure proper documentation for changes and modifications
-
Adhere to safety, health, and environmental procedures as well as company policies
-
Perform standby duties and unplanned overtime
Projects & Development:
-
Assist in the design and development of basic drawings, manage contractors, and commission projects
