🧾 Job Overview:

Support the Catering Manager in running the day-to-day food service operations in a healthcare environment, ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene, and service delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food production and ensure quality and presentation.

  • Support with lunch service and kitchen operations.

  • Assist with menu planning, costing, and ordering.

  • Manage stock: receiving, issuing, quality checks, rotation.

  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards (HACCP & NOSA).

  • Perform staff training and identify team members for promotion.

  • Handle admin tasks including salary variations and reports.

  • Ensure security of storerooms and valuables.

  • Take charge during the manager’s absence.

  • Attend meetings, training, and participate in exhibitions.

  • Regularly assist with stocktaking.

🎓 Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) is essential.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in catering or restaurant industry at supervisory level.

  • Healthcare catering experience is a strong advantage.
