🧾 Job Overview:
Support the Catering Manager in running the day-to-day food service operations in a healthcare environment, ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene, and service delivery.
✅ Key Responsibilities:

Assist in food production and ensure quality and presentation.
-
Support with lunch service and kitchen operations.
-
Assist with menu planning, costing, and ordering.
-
Manage stock: receiving, issuing, quality checks, rotation.
-
Maintain hygiene and safety standards (HACCP & NOSA).
-
Perform staff training and identify team members for promotion.
-
Handle admin tasks including salary variations and reports.
-
Ensure security of storerooms and valuables.
-
Take charge during the manager’s absence.
-
Attend meetings, training, and participate in exhibitions.
-
Regularly assist with stocktaking.

🎓 Minimum Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in catering or restaurant industry at supervisory level.
-
Healthcare catering experience is a strong advantage.
