Minimum Requirements

  • Tertiary-level accounting qualification

  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping (essential)

  • Experience with Sage Evolution or a similar accounting system (essential)

  • Minimum 5 years’ bookkeeping experience to balance sheet

  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Excel / Google Sheets and MS Word / Google Docs

  • Advanced experience with debt collection and debtors management

  • Experience with debit orders (preferably Netcash)

  • Strong communication skills with staff, parents and suppliers

  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

Main Duties

  • Reporting to the Schools’ Business Manager

  • Full responsibility for processing accounts to balance sheet

  • Oversight of a staff member

  • Processing and management of monthly school fee debtors and collections

  • Purchasing

  • Assisting with budgets

  • Involvement in financial matters related to school events

The position offers 20 days of annual leave.
