About the Internship
The Business Development Internship provides an opportunity to gain real-world experience supporting Visa’s growth strategies in Sub-Saharan Africa. Interns will work with cross-functional teams on client relations, market analysis, and execution of country business plans.
This internship is designed to help you develop commercial acumen, data-driven decision-making, and project management skills while gaining an in-depth understanding of the payments ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative and operational support to the local business team.

Contribute to the development and execution of initiatives outlined in Visa’s country plans.

Conduct competition analysis and monitor industry trends.
-
Assist with client queries and issue resolution.
-
Support the Business Planning & Operations teams with regular reporting (weekly, monthly, or quarterly).

Assist Business Development Managers with updating Playbooks and country plans.

Coordinate with other Visa departments to ensure proper tracking and implementation of initiatives.

Complete ad hoc research, project work, and presentations as assigned.

Qualifications

Current bachelor’s or master’s student, graduating December 2026.

Available for a 3-month internship (June–August 2026).

Must be available to join a full-time role by January 2027.
