About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires an experienced Cashier for their Market Square store. The role supports customer service at the point of sale, ensuring accurate transaction processing and a world-class shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities

Adhere to Dis-Chem’s customer service policies and procedures.

Establish professional relationships with customers; report complaints or compliments.

Process all purchases, payments, and loyalty cards accurately.
-
Handle cash flow responsibly and secure money in the till.
-
Follow proper security protocols and report suspicious behavior.
-
Maintain awareness of sales, promotions, and stock procedures.
-
Carry out and manage Dis-Chem 5-star communication principles.

Ensure all outgoing stock/items/scripts are scanned and paid for.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
-
Grade 12 / Matric
-
Minimum 6 months’ cashier/till operations experience

Computer literate (MS Office)
-
Sound numerical skills
-
Strong command of English (written and oral)

Basic customer service skills

Willingness to work retail hours
