About the Role
Highbury Preparatory School is looking for an experienced Coffee Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of their coffee shop. The shop serves beverages, snacks, breakfast, lunch, and frozen dinners to parents and staff. This position requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to manage stock, staff, and ensure high-quality food service.
Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day running of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with food quality and service.

Menu Management: Oversee menu planning, introducing new items, and ensuring food quality.

Inventory & Supplies: Handle stock control, monitor inventory, and ensure timely reordering of supplies.

Cash Handling: Perform cash-ups and monitor cash-up reports.

Health & Safety: Uphold health and safety standards in compliance with regulations.

Staff Supervision: Supervise and manage a team of staff, ensuring efficient performance and high morale.
Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a catering unit.

Experience with stock control and managing inventory.

Proven supervisory experience with staff management.

Strong people skills and ability to maintain good relationships with staff and customers.

Computer literate (experience with Gmail and Pastel POS).

Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards.

Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends.

Driver’s license is an advantage.
