About Our School:

Reddam House Umhlanga is seeking a passionate and experienced College IT Coding and Robotics Teacher. This role involves fostering a nurturing and engaging environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential through innovative teaching.


Role Summary:

Support and guide students’ academic and personal development, taking a holistic approach to education. Create a positive learning environment that inspires student achievement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging IT, Coding, and Robotics lessons.

  • Establish a nurturing and effective teaching environment.

  • Demonstrate professionalism in punctuality, student engagement, and work standards.

  • Continuously reflect on and refine teaching methods.

  • Teach extra lessons twice weekly when needed.

  • Develop high-quality teaching resources.

  • Communicate with parents within 24 hours of queries.

  • Participate in school events as required.

  • Set, mark, and assess student evaluations and exams.

  • Prepare practical, hands-on learning activities.

  • Complete any additional tasks as directed by school leadership.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching English Home Language in an IEB school.

  • Experience teaching and marking IEB Matric English (advantageous).

  • Prior exposure to IEB programmes and international school systems.

  • Relevant university degree and Certified Teaching Status.

  • SACE registration required.

  • Must have the legal right to work in South Africa.
