Position Overview
St Stithians College Boys’ Preparatory seeks a dynamic, innovative, and highly organised Communications, Events & Marketing Coordinator to join their team from 1 November 2025. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives under pressure, takes initiative, and can work collaboratively as well as independently.
Key Responsibilities

Lead internal and external communications, including social media and press releases

Manage and coordinate school events, including planning, logistics, and budget oversight

Draft, edit, and format all written communications and marketing materials
-
Manage termly school calendars and coordinate the annual school magazine

Liaise with media and manage public relations
-
Conduct research and source opportunities for marketing and fundraising
-
Provide administrative support to the Executive Assistant and School Admin Office
-
Attend and contribute to communications and campus meetings
-
Ensure effective use of desktop publishing tools, CRM systems, email platforms, and website content
-
Collaborate with stakeholders across the school and represent the ethos and values of the College
Requirements
-
Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, PR, or event logistics
-
Experience in a school or educational environment (advantageous)
-
Strong social media proficiency (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.)
-
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
-
Skilled in project management, meeting deadlines, and handling multiple tasks
-
Demonstrated ability in videography, photography, and content creation
-
Flexible working hours (weekends, evenings, holidays may be required)
-
Competent in budgeting and finance management for events
-
High-level computer skills and understanding of desktop publishing
-
Clean sexual offenders clearance certificate required
-
