As a Copywriter at eTV, you’ll be responsible for creating engaging, on-brand content that resonates with the station’s youthful audience. From commercial scripts to show imaging and promotional content, your writing will help define the voice of one of SA’s most iconic media platforms.
📌 Key Responsibilities
1. Copywriting

Crafting fresh, youth-focused copy for promotions, commercials, and on-air content

Collaborating with sales, marketing, and programming teams

Editing and proofreading all scripts for accuracy and tone

Staying up to date with trends in youth language and culture
2. Commercial Scripts

Developing persuasive, custom-tailored commercial content

Meeting strict turnaround times (2–3 hours per brief)

Enhancing call-to-actions and campaign consistency

Ensuring compliance with broadcasting regulations
3. Station and Show Imaging

Creating monthly imaging calendars with the production supervisor

Writing scripts for calendar events, new line-ups, and branded campaigns

Maintaining and enhancing the eTV brand through powerful messaging
✅ Requirements
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or English (3 years – 360 credits)
Experience:

Minimum of 3 years in radio, journalism, or creative writing
Skills & Competencies:

Strong command of English (written and verbal)

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills

Excellent decision-making, attention to detail, and creativity

Team player with the ability to build strong working relationships
