Purpose of the Role
Provide excellent customer service at the cosmetic till point and ensure the merchandising of cosmetic and beauty products meets Dis-Chem standards. Record customer transactions accurately and contribute to a world-class shopping experience.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 / Matric
-
At least 6 months’ experience in cashier/till operations
-
Computer literate (MS Office)
-
Strong numerical and English language skills
-
Basic customer service skills
-
Willing and able to work retail hours
Key Responsibilities
-
Serve customers efficiently at the cosmetic tills
-
Assist with merchandising of cosmetics when no customers are present
-
Escalate serious customer complaints to management
-
Ensure accurate cash handling and processing of all payment types
-
Manage loyalty card processing, including partner programs
-
Maintain cleanliness and attractive merchandising displays in cosmetics area

Adhere to cash security and Dis-Chem’s policies & SOPs
-
Follow health, safety, and appearance policies strictly

Report suspicious behavior and maintain confidential handling of takings
