Job Summary

A successful Design Graduate is a self-starter with a passion for solving problems and creating customer-focused solutions. They demonstrate a growth mindset, willingness to learn, teamwork, and the ability to manage time and deliverables effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research (primary and secondary) to understand pains, gains, and needs.

  • Execute design work under guidance from project leads.

  • Adapt designs based on customer and stakeholder feedback.

  • Present design work to business stakeholders with support from senior designers.

  • Apply design thinking methodologies and practices.

  • Create final production-ready designs aligned with brand standards.

  • Contribute creative and innovative design solutions for world-class customer experience.

  • Use data and insights (market analysis, customer feedback, user research) to shape customer-centered solutions.

  • Design mock-ups and prototypes, iterating continuously for improvement.

  • Align all outputs to Absa’s design standards for a consistent customer experience.

  • Build expertise through feedback, mentorship, and following industry best practices.

Education & Field of Study

  • NQF Level 7 or higher (or currently completing by end of 2024).

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree and Professional Qualifications (Business, Commerce, Management Studies or related).
