Job Description:

Foskor, a leading company in the mining and metals industry, is seeking a Data Analytics and Reporting Analyst to join our ICT division in Midrand, Gauteng. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing data analytics and insights, empowering the organization to make data-driven decisions that optimize business performance.

Purpose of the Job:

To provide data analytics and insight capability across the organization, helping Foskor make data-driven decisions that align with its strategic goals. The Data Analytics and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for developing and delivering analytics dashboards, conducting data analysis, and working closely with key stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Visualization:
- Conduct data analysis with a focus on data exploration, cleansing, transformation, modelling, and deriving actionable insights.
- Ensure effective use of data to manage Foskor’s operations, while delivering high-level data visualization and reporting insights.
Project Management and Development:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of data-related projects.
- Contribute to project success through effective management of data and reporting tasks.
Data Governance, Risk, and Security:
- Support data governance initiatives, ensuring data security, risk management, and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of key risk indicators, providing insights into potential risks to internal and external stakeholders.
Customer Engagement and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure data is up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with all data protection requirements.
- Be the custodian of insights and reports, serving as the first point of contact for all data and reporting-related queries.
- Develop and maintain reporting models to provide clear, actionable insights to all user levels within the company.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Grade 12 (Matric).
National Diploma in Information Technology or related field.
Industry-related certificates in Data and Insights or Business Intelligence.

Experience:

Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in data analytics and reporting.
Proven experience in developing and delivering analytics dashboards and reports.
Strong expertise in data manipulation, visualization, and SQL (including Oracle).
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
Excellent track record of delivering data-driven insights to support decision-making processes.

Key Skills:

Advanced SQL skills, including proficiency in Oracle.
Strong working knowledge of Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
Excellent understanding of data governance, risk management, and data protection principles.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills to present complex data in an understandable way.
